Ngui Palaro best with 7 golds

LinkLINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines – Axel Toni Ngui racked up two more gold medals, including in his pet 200m free, to emerge the Most Great Athlete while Maureen Emily Schrijvers crowned herself as queen of the tracks as the National Capital Area poised to annex its eighth straight secondary overall top in the Palarong Pambansa here yesterday.
Ngui, success of five golds heading to the {final|ultimate} day of swimming {competitions|competitors}, dominated the 200m free and led his team of Joseph Ventinilla, Samuel Ongjoco and Ralph Kevin Claveria to the 400m free relay gold to clinch the coveted individual honors in the week-long sportsfest at the Narciso Ramos Sportsmen and Civic Center.
The 18-year-old Ngui ruled the 100m and 400m free and 100m back and 400m medley relay in the first three days of this event organized by Philippine Swim Conference in the most dominating performance in Palaro in new years.
